Cinfonie Jong Bayone, S'70 - Cinfonie was born in San Francisco; raised in the Ingleside district. She attended Sheridan Elementary, James Denman Junior High School and Balboa. She attended City College of San Francisco. She married George M. Bayone, S'70 and they have one son and one daughter. She worked 30 years for one Telecommunication Company that has had many name changes. She retired in 2004 and currently works for See's Candies as a holiday helper. She also works at the Jefferson School District as a substitute Elementary School Secretary and Special Ed/Circumstances Aide. She became a board member in 2004 because she realized she could help the future Balboa students take pride in attending one of the best schools in San Francisco. Currently she is the Alumni Fundraiser Coordinator. She supports American Diabetes Foundation, The Hope Institute for Children and Families and various other organizations.

 

Vickie Hackett, S' 71 - Vickie was born in San Francisco; raised in the Ingleside district; attended Farragut Elementary, Aptos Junior High School and Balboa. She retired in 2009 after working for Bank of the West and its predecessors for over 35 years. She became active with the Alumni Association upon graduation. She has been Vice President and Recording Secretary for many years and now is also the Editor of the Gangplank. She is also known as Vickie H. She has been a member of Ingleside Presbyterian Church for nearly 50 years which is where the Board of Directors have their monthly meetings.

 

Barry Calero. S'72 - Barry was born in San Francisco; raised in Bernal Heights/Excelsior District. He attended San Miguel Elementary, Aptos Junior High School and Balboa. He has one daughter. He is a talented photographer and is interested in various artistic media. Three years ago he made contact with President Emily Powell to donate a photograph to the Balboa Museum and has been a board member ever since. He is a sponsor with Child Fund International.

 

Thomas Booker, '73 - Thomas was born in San Francisco; raised in the Hunters Point, Fillmore and Lakeview districts. He attended Bayview and John Muir Elementary, Everett and James Denman Junior High School and Balboa. He attended City College of San Francisco and Healds Business College. He is married to Debbie and has two sons. For the past 23 years he has followed in his grandfather's and his mother's footsteps as being a MUNI Transit Operator. He became involved with the Alumni board through Vickie Hackett & Ed Baker. They all attend Ingleside Presbyterian Church.

 

Rickev Bussey, '75 - Rickey was born in San Francisco; raised in the Ingleside district; attended San Miguel Elementary, James Denman Junior High School and Balboa. He attended the University of Washington (Seattle) and the University of Wyoming (Laramie). He is married to OkSook Kim and has one son and one daughter. He has worked for PG&E for 19 years serving in various positions and is currently in Consumer Affairs. Ten years ago through an invitation from Alumni President Emily Powell, he became a board member and serves as a Vice President. He is a volunteer spokesman for the "California Donor Transplant Network". As a former transplant recipient he speaks at schools, businesses and does radio and TV appearances promoting donor awareness.

 

Catherine "Cathy" Pacheco. S'75 - Cathy was born in San Francisco; raised in the Crocker Amazon/Outer Mission in the same house she is living in now. She attended Guadalupe Elementary, Burbank Junior High School and Balboa, She attended Los Medanos College and City College of San Francisco. She has two sons and one daughter. All attended Balboa. She is a Licensed Realtor and for the past 12 years she has worked for Century 21 Baldini Realty in the Excelsior District. A few years ago she became a member of the board through President Emily Powell. And recently became the new webmistress. She was a board officer of the Outer Mission Merchant Residents Association.

 

Dave Camacho, '79 - Dave was born in San Francisco; raised in the Excelsior district. He attended San Miguel and Bret Harte Elementary, James Denman Junior High School and Balboa. He attended City College of San Francisco. For the past 24 years he has been a Letter Carrier for the US Postal Service. He became involved with the Alumni board through his friend and classmate Leroy Miranda.

 

Leroy Miranda, '79 - Leroy was born in San Francisco; raised in the Glen Park district. He attended Jedediah Smith Elementary, James Denman and Balboa. He attended City College of San Francisco and Skyline College. He is married to Eugenia and they have two sons. He has worked for Tyco Electronics as an extruder operator for 20 years. He became a board member five years ago through an invitation from Alumni President Emily Powell. He is involved with the San Mateo Police PAL programs

 

Teresa Chavez , '82- Teresa was born in San Francisco; raised in the Bernal Heights/Mission District; She attended Junipero Serra and Burnett Elementary, Burbank Junior High and Balboa. She attended City College of San Francisco. She married Victor Loeza who is deceased. She has worked for her current employer for 6 years and is a litigation assistant/office manager. She became active with the Alumni Association a little over a year ago during the 80th Anniversary celebration.
